NCS Counselors

Johanna de Koning

Johanna is the clinical supervisor at NCS. She holds an M.A. in Counseling [Licensed. S101962 ACC/CPCAB] and several certifications in specialized topics including art therapy, behavioural therapy, and play therapy. Johanna has more than 30 years of experience working with children and adolescents, as well as in marriage and family therapy.

David Ogden

David completed his Graduate Diploma of Counseling and Master of Counseling qualifications in Sydney, Australia. He has over 20 years of experience working with adolescents, adults, and couples using an eclectic approach of cognitive behavioural, solution-focused, psychodynamic, and emotionally-focused therapies. He is experienced working with a range of mental health issues affecting individuals and families, including depression, anxiety, conflict, identity, and trauma. He is a registered member of the Australian Counseling Association.

Joy (Saranjit) Hemkaew

Joy obtained her diploma in counseling on a master’s degree level at the TBTS in Bangkok, and has been trained as a Satir therapist. With more than 10 years of experience, she specializes in treating depression and anxiety disorders. Joy also helps people overcome a variety of other issues such as difficult relationships, work-related stress management, identity issues, anger management, and other challenges. Joy works with both individual clients and couples.

Savinee Khanijou


Savinee completed her Master’s of Counseling in Edinburgh. She graduated with a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology at University of Queensland, Australia and a Bachelor of Science in Psychology at Chulalongkorn University, and is also a member of the Thai Counseling Psychology Association. Savinee is experienced in working with children, utilizing various forms of play therapy and other modalities. Savinee views therapy as a safe place for children to be themselves and express their feelings while playing with the guidance of a therapist who can help them deal with their emotions more effectively.

Pam (Sannipha) Chotikapanich 

Pam has a Master’s in Counseling from Assumption University. She has previous experience working closely with children and adolescents as a teacher and school counselor, and is also a marriage counselor, specializing in helping interracial couples and parenting advice. Pam works with clients in overcoming depression, anxiety, PTSD, relationship issues, and more.

Tatiana Kunwongse

Tatiana completed her Master’s of Counseling Monash University, Australia, and is accredited with the Australian Counseling Association. Tatiana works with clients on general mental health issues such as stress and anxiety. Her areas of expertise include identity and self-esteem, diversity, race, and culture, emotional regulation, ADHD management, and dating and relationships. She incorporates approaches from Acceptance and Commitment Therapy, Somatic Therapy, and Narrative Therapy.

Luke (Phum) Wongthammakhan

Phum strengthens our team as a phone counselor and data entry officer. He is fully dedicated to making sure our hotline runs smoothly. Phum graduated with a Community Psychology degree from Kasetsart University and interned with a prominent Thai support line as a phone counselor. Phum’s life motto is: “Learning from mistakes and seeking the positive side of situations”.

Nok (Intira) Teappinyok

Nok is the cultural liaison and operations manager at NCS. She helps people to discover the best in themselves and allows them to blossom through corporate training and lunch talks. Nok mediates the gap between cultures by helping people with different backgrounds, languages, and ages to understand each other better. As a coach and communicator, Nok specializes in corporate strategies, education, and care-giving for the elderly.

Bier (Schantutch) Rungruangma

Whenever you visit our center, Bier’s friendly face is sure to put you at ease. As our front office talent, he welcomes clients in the reception area and makes sure that everything is running smoothly behind the scenes. Bier is amazing at getting things done and truly understands the heart of service that we embody at NCS. As part of his professional development goals, Bier is currently pursuing a Master’s in Counseling Psychology at Ramkhamhaeng University. He also gives training and orientation seminars for our valued EAP clients.

Athalie de Koning 

Athalie de Koning is the Creative Director of NCS and a Vocal Health Specialist who has worked internationally as an events manager, performer, and public speaker since 2010. A leader in change management, branding, and communication across various platforms, Athalie joined hands with NCS to promote mental health awareness and provide coaching both on and off the stage. Athalie holds a Master’s of Education in Arts and has been a lecturer at various universities on topics ranging from project and process management to vision building and development. Combining her experience in hospitality and education, Athalie conducts workshops on vocal health, management, and intercultural communication. Using practical exercises and tools for the corporate environment, she helps people to reclaim their authority, communicate clearly, and ultimately, to find their own voice.

Anna (Anatta) Zarchi

Anna is the Personal Assistant to NCS’s Creative Director. She has her Bachelor’s in Liberal Arts with a major in Literature, a minor in Psychology, and some background in Philosophy and Digital Communication and Culture as well. Anna works on organization, social media, research, and content writing for NCS. With an interest in psychology and writing, she aims to get a combined experience of both areas within the mental health world before continuing her education.

Susie (Sue)

Sue is our ray of sunshine in the office. Her bright smile and optimistic attitude light up any room and earned her the cute nickname “Susie.” Sue ensures that all of our clients and counselors have a clean, stress-free space so they can focus on the task at hand. She travels between our different locations throughout the city to keep the counseling rooms spic-and-span. Sue’s integrity, strong work ethic, and family values make her a perfect fit for the NCS team.

Khim

Meet Khim, our smart and diligent trainee! Khim is currently studying Psychology at the Faculty of Education, Chandrakasem Rajabhat University, while receiving training from Bier at the NCS office and clinical supervision from Johanna. She is learning all the ins and outs of counseling work, both in the field and behind the scenes, and wants to become a counselor in the future.
