What is EAP?
NCS, your trusted partner for Employee Assistance Program (EAP) services, offers comprehensive support to enhance the well-being of your workforce. NCS’s EAP service is a confidential and accessible resource designed to address personal and professional challenges. Our EAP services provide support for employees, employers, and their family members in resolving workplace and personal challenges.
EAP services encompass a broad range of areas, including addressing everyday concerns, mental health issues, family-related matters, marital issues, financial and legal guidance, childcare and eldercare support, assistance with substance abuse, emotional guidance, critical incident support, and more. Furthermore, EAP extends its focus to addressing workplace issues like violence, managing troubled employees, handling cases of sexual harassment, and dealing with events that can lead to increased absenteeism, decreased productivity, and higher employee turnover. With our 24-hour hotline service, employees and their family members can seek guidance and assistance at any time. These efforts are aimed at benefitting an organization’s financial success and improving employee relations with management. Caring for the company’s employees while maintaining the company’s goals and quality should go hand-in-hand and result in a good atmosphere, better productivity, and better mental health.
NCS is currently the only company in Thailand that meets international standards for EAP services.
Why an EAP program outside the medical realm?
It is normal at times to experience stress and periods of uncertainty, whether it be at home or in the workplace. Unforeseen circumstances can cause anxiety or depression, leading to unhealthy patterns and less resilient behavior. Counselors are trained to recognize such patterns and provide concrete, actionable tools to improve daily functioning. For companies that do not have an EAP provider, medication or psychiatric treatment may be prescribed as a quick solution, however, taking medication can often be avoided by first seeking support from a counselor to help find new coping mechanisms and solutions. NCS’s EAP services provides all of this through one-on-one counseling, as well as corporate training on various topics concerning mental health & wellbeing.
If the counselor and client assess that medication is needed and/or would be helpful, NCS will refer the client to a psychiatrist for medication in support of the counseling process. However, not all emotional problems necessarily require lifelong medication – counseling can provide coping tools so that medication may be reduced and one can discover their own mental balance.
